Domestic Research Trend on the Group Counseling Program for Couples
Kim Hyun-Mi

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to systematically review the research trends and details of the Korean couple group counseling program to comprehensively understand their characteristics. To this end, this study uses keywords such as'couple group','couple group counseling', and'couple group counseling program', and provides thesis and dissertation for master's and doctoral degrees in Korea from 2011 to 2020 in the academic research information service (RISS). 35 papers related to group counseling programs for couples published in domestic journals were analyzed. The analysis criteria were determined by the number of papers by year, the theoretical basis for group counseling and the group theme, measurement variables, research design, structural factors and effects of the program. The results of analyzing the selected documents using a systematic literature review method are as follows. Most of the papers did not present the theoretical basis for the group counseling program, and the topics of the program dealt with relationship improvement, marriage satisfaction, and communication the most. Marriage satisfaction was used the most as a measurement tool, followed by a communication tool and a compactness scale. As the study design method, the experiment-control group pre- and post-test design was the most common, and quantitative analysis was used more for data processing. Participating subjects were the most frequent papers targeting middle-aged and early marriages, and 6-8 couples were the most, and 6-9 sessions and 120-150 minutes were the most in terms of program sessions and operating hours. Based on these results, implications for the study of the couple group counseling program and suggestions for follow-up studies were added.
